Mission & Outreach

First Presbyterian Church is a Matthew 25 congregation.  This means, not only do we contribute financially to our partner ministries, we actively connect with them.  We connect to understand how best to support their community efforts and how we might be of support to them.

FPC has done an excellent job of supporting our community for 130+ years.  As a result, we have a huge list of ministry partners!  Here are some of our favorites:

Keeping up with the needs of ALL these ministries is a BIG job.  The Community & Global Discipleship Commission is inviting members of  the congregation to become a MINISTRY HOST.  Having more people involved will allow us to do a better job of connecting, discerning needs, and actively helping these ministries.

Ministry Hosts take on one ministry.  They connect with it monthly (by email or phone) to see what the needs are.  Then, they report (by email or phone) those needs to the Commission.  The C&GD Commission gets this all set up for the new host and remains supportive.
